Is Springfield a circle? Then how are we meant to get it into a rectangle?
Burn’s Manor
Burn’s Manor is a tricky one. It could take up a LOT of space in your town. The more grandiose, the better.
Bart mentions when he stays there that it “has everything: a hedge-maze, a moat, bleached hardwood floors, and a bottomless pit.”
If you can find a way to include this stuff, great!

Tips and Tricks
I’ve used the black hole as a bottomless pit stand-in. I’ve also made use of the hedges and cobbled walls for some 3D effects, giving the impression of the building being raised higher than others. Using similar technique, you can see the Burns family crypt at the foot of the garden. Burns manor is a great place to throw in some of your own topiary creations – like my ‘B’ and dollar sign.
Bad Dream House
One of the trickier buildings to place as it doesn’t really fit anywhere. You can see it all alone on a big scary hill.
The ancient graveyard is located underneath the house, but as this is impossible to do in game, you’ll have to figure out how to connect them.
However, with this one you could cheat slightly. The Bad Dream House is only in a Treehouse of Horror episode and even in that is only in a scary story told by Bart. So, really it doesn’t belong in Springfield.
What you can do is have it in the place of the spooky house which looms over Springfield Elementary. (Suggested as home to the Skinners but mainly a Psycho reference).

Springfield Retirement Castle
Another of the regularly visited locales as home to a large number of elderly residents, the Retirement Castle is an important addition to the town.
Don’t forget to include a dead tree for the exciting view from the looking window.
