Plan ahead! There’s a lot of stuff to fit in to your town and only limited space.
We’re also in a position that we don’t know what new stuff will be released in the future.
Recently, the ‘nuke’ button has been added so that we can rebuild almost from scratch if we decide that we don’t like how the town has come out. After a lot of work on your town, that might be something that you want to avoid.
In this section, I’m going to include some updates of buildings and areas that I have finished, but are at risk of being temporarily demolished if I drop a nuke.
Springfield Landscapes
Having a look at some of the canon layouts of the town might help you figure out how you want to put yours together.
Town Square, Elementary, and Evergreen Terrace

According to the episode ‘A Tale of Two Springfields’ characters who live on the rich side of town include:
Bill and Marty, Mrs. Hoover, Sideshow Mel, Mr. Burns, Skinner, Mrs. Krabappel, Prof. Frink, Mr. Largo, Apu and Manjula, Chief Wiggum, Mayor Quimby, Jimbo, Kearny, Dolph, and Kent Brockman.
And for the poorer side of Springfield: Captain McAllister, Patty and Selma, the Simpsons, Disco Stu, Groundskeeper Willie, Fat Tony, Eddie and Lou, Lenny, Carl, Barney, Otto, Dr. Nick Rivera, Flanders, Mr. Van Houten, Moe, Bumblebee Man, Jasper, Hans, and Comic Book Guy.
However, as Chief Wiggum lives on Evergreen Terrace, I’m not sure how this works.
Springfield Sign and Observatory
Cletus’ Farm
Calmwood
Fat Tony’s House
Old Town
Bowlarama
Sir Putt-a-Lots
Penitentiary
Studios
Knowledgeum
Cracker Factory
General Hospital and Burn’s Manor
Out of Town Area: Santa’s Village, Pow-Wow Casino, Sunsphere, Volcano Lair
Abe’s Cabin
I’m including this here as I’m pretty sure it won’t survive a nuke, but I like it. It’s a non-canon building so what you use it for is up to you.
