In this next Christmassy part of the guide, we can look at some town planning.
As mentioned before, you should think about including areas that will be home to similar buildings.
I have put together a few zones including:
– A suburban area/Evergeen Terrace/Pressboard Estates for the various character houses.
– Downtown Springfield
– Shopping District
– Upper Class businesses
– Wealthy Homes
– Olde Town
– Forest
– Cypress Creek
– Jebediah Springfield Park
You don’t have to do it the way that I have, but I feel that my arrangement is a good approximation of how it should be.
At the moment, a number of buildings are not in the areas that I would like them to eventually be. My hope is that more land is included in a future update so I can expand.
For example, I want Cletus’ farm to be in a shanty town at the top of Springfield Falls along with a few brown houses.
I also want to put together an ‘out of town’ area, for the Casino and Sunsphere.
Currently, O’Flanagans pub is in the precise location that I would put Maison Derriere if it was ever released.
You may also notice that some buildings already featured in this guide have had a few changes made to them.
